Just eight years old, Alberto Román will talk about how he became interested in wildlife in general and birds in particular, and about his learning and progress in nature photography.
Born in 2015 in Ubrique (Cádiz), a town surrounded by the Sierra de Grazalema and Los Alcornocales Natural Parks, when he was four years old, he accompanied his father on outings to the countryside. A small birdbook sparked his interest in identifying birds.
In 2022, he acquired a mirrorless camera that replaced a compact one. The following year, he participated in photography competitions, winning in his category, among others, the one organized by the German Society of Nature Photographers (GDT).
