Promotional and recreational activities will be included in The 6th Birdwatching Fair programme which will be aimed at visitors, professionals and scientists. As a part of these simultaneous activities the Technical and Communication Sessions are one of the highlights of the trade show, acquiring a basic role in the definition of Birdwatching Fair as a real ornithological tourism forum.

The main topics of the Technical and Communication Sessions will be open to any suggestion from any agents involved in ornithological tourism practice, environmental conservation or nature tourism in general. In order to structure the development of the exhibition, the Technical and Communication Sessions are organized around three key topics:

• Projects and experiences in ornithological tourism
  We will discuss the importance of nature tourism in the current tourism context, paying special attention to the ornithological tourism field. We will share different experiences and stand out typical characteristics of this tourist typology as a possible tourist resource.
• Species Conservation
  We will analyse the current need of guarantying the biodiversity. Besides the ecosystem conservation, there will be other approaches focussed on the interrelationship between habitat maintenance and other economic activities, and even their possible dimension as a source of wealth.
• Promotion of ornithological tourism destinations
  We will present specific nature spaces with an outstanding ornithological interest, and show the importance of this type of resources for the tourism. The conference presentations will point out important ornithological tourism destinations, as well as those places with a high potential for this kind of industry.
  Following our desire to turn the Birdwatching Fair into a reference forum and enphazising that it will be the first specialized meeting in Spain, the organizers are pleased to invite you to participate in their Technical and Communication Sessions as lecturer or contributor.
